SEO job description

You will be responsible for driving key SEO activities and growth initiatives to help our businesses and brands grow in their online presence sustainably. The ideal candidate is a passionate team player, capable of working with & managing cross-functional teams, a talented SEO analyst, a digital native, and has a voracious appetite to pick-up new skills and tools.

While you core responsibility would be to focus on the growth of various websites and apps you'll be managing, you will also need to ensure only the best white-hat SEO practices are used at all times. Altorise only delivers the highest quality of work, and the effectiveness of our initiatives is based on the latest trends and deep expertise. Your work will need to be consistent with the quality and reputation for which Altorise is known and famed for. Your passion for building great and growing websites based on strong understanding of user intent, SERP focus, keyword analysis skills, outreach strategies and proficiency to independently drive results will be key to your success and overall growth.

SEO job responsibilities

  • Establish guidelines and checklists for new websites
  • Conduct initial and ongoing research for keyword opportunities, gaps
  • Independently write high-quality SEO meta-descriptions and tags for website pages and content elements like images and videos etc.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of Google, Bing, Social guidelines, tools
  • Ensure on-page and off-page SEO with consistent organic growth
  • Implement Local SEO & submissions to ensure high DR/PR
  • Setup and grow E-Commerce SEO and Amazon SEO consistently
  • Expertise with any of these tools — Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Majestic (and comparable tools)
  • Good understanding of HTML, WordPress, PHP CMS frameworks, and popular plugins like Yoast, RankMath SEO, All-in-one, Ranker etc.
  • (Bonus) Experience working with App Store Optimization or ASO and having experience ranking apps on Apple App Store and Google Play Stores
  • Coordinate with strategy, content, and client teams to grow SEO strategies

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Advertising, Marketing, Technology, or Arts
  • 1+ years of experience in managing SEO and content strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good project management with an excellent eye for detail and high-quality work
  • Experience in developing plans and reporting progress weekly and monthly
